I've spent many years of my life pursuing a never-ending interest in dentistry and orthodontics and I'm always happy to provide this knowledge and expertise to my patients to improve their quality of life. I'm originally from South Korea and earned my DDS, MSD, PhD and certification in oral medicine at Dankook University. After that, I moved to the United States for my orthodontic training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. I've been a full-time faculty member at Saint Louis University since 2005.
Aside from my education, I've also been a speaker at both national and international meetings, including the Annual American Association of Orthodontics where topics included self-ligation, temporary skeletal anchorage devices, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder, sleep apnea, and clinical orthodontics. I was also extremely proud and honored to receive two Orthodontic Faculty Development Fellowship Awards, as well as a two-year full-time teaching fellowship from the American Association of Orthodontics.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife, who is a pediatric dentist, and our son and daughter. We've lived in Clayton, MO since 2005. I'm also passionate about music and love every kind of it, from Bach to Blues guitar.
